Zakir Husain College believes in the general development of learner.

1. Library: The central library in ZHC is the liveliest place on the university grounds which offer relaxed, safe and sociable surroundings. It facilitates advancement of appreciating, learning and promotes scholarship.
2. A course offered: ZHC is offering both the under graduate and post graduate courses in the discipline of arts, science and commerce. It's only college in India offering master degree courses in foreign languages like Arabic, Persians. This college is also offering various postgraduate courses in some Indian literature like Tamil, Sanskrit and Bengali.
3. Placement: Placement Cell has played a vital role as one of the most victorious initiatives undertaken by the college during this academic session. Faculty of the college and the professionals from industries is involved in various training programs for students and make them ready for the corporate world. The placement office worked in relationship with Career Launcher and Indian Express.
The College was launched by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the year 1792. The college is one of the oldest colleges in India. The college has seen the phases of Mughal and British. Zakir Husain College believes in the general development of learner and consequently offers services for sports and games.
