Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya also known by English name Rajiv Gandhi
Technical Universtiy was established at the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. The university was established as a common university for all the technical institutes, mainly including engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The university was named after the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. It is one of the largest technical institutes with 17 under graduate level courses to the students admitting to Post Graduate, Under Graduate and Diploma courses in Madhya Pradesh. There are 05 UTD's , 200 affiliated Engineering Colleges, 98 Pharmacy
Colleges, 95 MCA Colleges and 04 Architecture Colleges 85 Polytechnic institutions offering diploma courses in emerging and conventional disciplines. Situated amidst an aesthetic and hilly surrounding, the University is now offering Ph Ds and 11 post. By setting up well-equipped laboratories, employing skilled manpower, and providing advisory services in science and technology in close collaboration with national and international agencies,
RGPV intends to promote the quality of its departments and develop them as centers of excellence. Ultimately, it aims at creating a scientific culture in the society and improving the quality of life of the people.
RGPV’s 241.14 acres sprawling hi-tech campus and state-of-the-art infrastructures and four lanes campus contains of plain area and small parts of hilly terrain. RGPV envisions the achievement of organizational goals not only by conferring education par excellence but also with its building and its facilities. Canteen, Students' Common Room, Hostel Boys & Girls, Principal's Quarters, Digital Library, Quarters for Faculty and Guest: - House.
