The institute develop intelligent engineers who can handle any situation in technical field

1. Courses Offered : UBDTCE affords five graduate level courses, namely, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering , Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and three postgraduate programs namely, M. Tech (CS, ECE & ME), Masters in Computer Application (MCA), and Masters in Business Administrators (MBA).
2. Library : The College library has about 45,00 volumes comprising of text books, Data Books and Code Books of I.S.I. Standard. Around 7,000 Books are placed in the student reference section
3. Admission : Admission to this college is made complete through Common Entrance Test (CET) & PGCET conducted by Government of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Selection is based on Merit and Reservation in accordance with the policies of the Government of Karnataka. CET will be generally conducted during the month of April/May of every year.

The institute will pursue high skills and very good careers for students and will strive for regional economic development through research and Collaboration.
