Mahasarakham University

Mahasarakham University is a Public University situated in Maha Sarakham Province known as the Center of Education in the Isan region of Thailand. This university is Thailand’s 22nd fastest growing government university. It has two campuses, the Old Campus located at the downtown of the city and the New Campus located at Khamriang in the north-west of the city.
MSU is the only Thai university that offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Paleontology and Bachelor of Arts in Khmer Language. MSU is the first university in northeastern Thailand to offer a Bachelor of Arts program in Accounting and the second to commence Ph.D. course in the same subject. MSU is the first Thai university to join the Microsoft Regional Campus IT Program. Moreover, the Faculty of Education, the flagship of MSU voted as Thailand’s Best Education Faculty in 2010 by the National Education Office. In response to ASEAN 2015, MSU set up a new ASEAN Studies Center in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. MSU has 17 faculties, 2 colleges and 1 school, these are grouped in three institutions-

3. Sciences and Technologies
Mahasarakham University offers courses as Ph.D. (in Thai, Chemistry, Biology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical & computer science, Business, Accounting, Bio-technology, Management, Marketing management, Health sciences, Music, Cultural sciences), master of Fine and Applied Arts, Masters of Arts in Economics, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Accountancy, Master of Nursing, Master of Engineering, Master of Business Management, Master of Arts (History, Research for local management, Tourism and Hotel Management, ports and Health management, Cultural arts), Major of Education (Thai education, English, Science education, Counselling Psychology, Educational research, Curriculum & Instruction).
Mahasarakham University is the first institution in Thailand to be rated under the QS Stars System for Excellence in Higher Education.
