Government Polytechnic For Women, Bangalore also received status of an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution for excellent infrastructure and academic brilliance. The institute is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its great infrastructure and academic achievements. The Institute offers Diploma in Textile Designing; it is a one year full time diploma course. Government Polytechnic For Women, Bangalore has an excellent faculty of about 40 experienced and highly qualified teachers. Additionally many senior guest faculties from recognized universities are invited throughout the duration of a course to guide and provide a better perspective to the students.
Government Polytechnic For Women, Bangalore has a rich infrastructure with good facilities including separate hostels for boys and girls with modern facilities like internet connectivity, purified water and indoor sports room. The institute encourages participation in sports among students and Students have the facility of indoor & outdoor games e.g. billiard, & snookers, cricket, football, basketball, tennis, table-tennis, badminton, volleyball etc along with a gymnasium with latest equipments.
The Institute organizes many social events such as NSS Special Camp, Blood Donation camp, etc. The institute organizes cultural fests for students which are managed by student groups and committees to improve their management skills. Government Polytechnic For Women, Bangalore runs an integrated training and placement cell for guidance and training of students and provides training to improve their work and communication skills. The Institute has collaborated with many MNCs for campus placements and training.
