Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology was formally announced on 15 September 2004, in the presence of Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of UPA Government. It came into existence on 1 October 2004 as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi accorded its approval and Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) issued letter of affiliation to the institute.
The institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course with specialization in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and also offers Master in Computer Application course (MCA). B.Tech in CS, EC, ME & AE are 4 years (8 semesters) degree course whereas MCA is a 3 years (6 semesters) degree course, in which admission can be taken by appearing in SEE-UPTU (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination), generally held on 3rd Sunday of April every year.
The Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology provides students with a great Infrastructure with latest facilities in the field of education. The college campus is entirely Wi-Fi enabled, and the seminar halls and class-rooms use projectors for audio-visual aid. Institute has separate hostel facility for boys and girls, and transport facility is available for Day-scholars. Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology provides students with rich extracurricular activities.
The Institute organizes events as a platform for students to exhibit their skills.
