Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, College of Humanities,is a college in Pradashani Marg Kathmandu, Nepal, and is the biggest college in the nation.Ratna Rajya Campus (RRC), located at the heart of Kathmandu metropolitan city, is effortlessly reachable from any corner of the Kathmandu valley. Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus was named after Beloved Queen Mother Ratna Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
RRC has a very old infrastructural building with high modern facilities. The building is about 100 years old running from the time of Beloved Queen Mother Ratna Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah. It has a very wide range of facilities from wide classrooms, modern laboratory, and music rooms with all available instruments from ancient to modern times. RRC library is occupied with wide range and varieties of books including every aspect of humanities studies and music components with latest articles on music and environmental science.
RRC, as the pioneer constituent campus of Tribhuvan University (TU), is synonymous to management education in Nepal. Thus, it has become the premier duty of RRC to produce the world-class standard manpower targeting the global need. Besides, RRC is conscious of its duty of upholding the image of TU. RRC has housed highly professional, dedicated and competent faculty members as required, who focus in producing the world-class management manpower.
It serves the proficiency certificate level, undergraduate and graduate level programs for more than ten thousand students in its morning, day, and night classes. This college runs almost every subject of humanities and music programs. The courses offered by RRC are:
Under this programme RRC runs Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in both morning and day shifts. Basically, this course is of 3 years.
The Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus musters 'the largest concentration of students taking journalism as one of the major elective subjects at the two year proficiency level and three-year diploma level. A total of six classes in the day and evening shifts are operated. The total number of students enrolled at present stands at 600, out of which 200 students are studying in the diploma course. Each class takes in about 75 students in average which is still very high in terms with the physical facilities available.
Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Dept of English, runs a graduate degree program in English (MA in English Literature) in the morning shift. This is unique but wonderful program. Usually, this MA English program is of 2 years, enrolling more than 300 students in each academic year. Expert professors teach both literary and linguistics courses in the campus.
