Elphinstone College

Elphinstone College is having a unique position in the annals of education in the country. It is one of the institutions born even before University of Mumbai. Recently, the Elphinstone College has been accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council). The report submitted by the Peer Team appreciates the efforts taken by its teachers to maintain a student friendly atmosphere & brilliant results.
The college has rich library which include over lakhs of journals, magazines, national and international magazine, references which help the students to get the clear picture of there respective subjects. Equally modern and well equipped computer and science laboratories are also provided to the students which help them to work and become perfectionist. Beside teaching and learning the students can also avail of the state of the fitness center, set up of gymnasium and lot more.

Bachelors of Commerce - First year Junior College and Second year Junior College
Bachelors of Arts - First year Junior College and Second year Junior College
Bachelors of Science - First year Junior College and Second year Junior College
The college has set up HEPSN (Higher Education for persons with special needs) in July 2002 as a part of UGC scheme to provide special assistance to disabled students. The aim of the Higher Education for persons with special needs is-
To provide better education for handicapped students
To facilitate admission of such college
To provide guidance job opportunities for the educated disabled students
To provide rehabilitation opportunities
To create awareness among the people about the special requirements of the handicapped students
To create awareness among awareness the students in the college regarding need of the physically disabled students.
