Is there ragging in DU-Dibrugarh University ? How bad is it ?

  • Absolutely not. I have studied for 1.5 years now and never faced any kind of molestation or anything. In fact, when we took admission, an affidavit of anti ragging under section 33 of Indian Constitution was submitted. In this affidavit there clearly written that if anyone misbehaves you or you yourself are involved in such matter, there will be 6 months/1 year(sorry I forgot) of imprisonment and a fine of upto 15000 rs. will be applied. So no fear of ragging.

    • No, not at all. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside Dibrugarh University Campus. To my knowledge, there's no such ragging related harsh incidient heard or seen ever. One can feel free to read at Dibrugarh University with open of mind and free from mental hotchpotch.

      • Frank question must be replied with truth. Ragging in DU is strictly against the administration of the institution ,hence befitting reply is given to voilators. But the culture of the locals where university is located must be respected.
