Daulat Ram College for Commerce

Daulat Ram College for Commerce was initially started as Pramila College, and was renamed as Daulat Ram College in 1964 when the college shifted to its current campus in the University of Delhi. Daulat Ram College for Commerce provides education programs leading towards degrees at the Bachelors level in Arts, Science and Commerce. The college has seven departments which enroll students at the Masters level and accommodates Master of Arts (M.A.) tutorials which supplement the classes held at the respective Departments at the University of Delhi. Ram College for Commerce has 18 departments and more than 3200 students enrolled to it.
The Daulat Ram College for Commerce has acquired The Star College status from the Government of India .The college Library is well equipped and consists over 80,000 titles, books and subscription to many journals with a computerized data base and access online. Daulat Ram College for Commerce houses well equipped and furnished labs for all the Science Course departments as Bio-Chemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. The Department of Nutrition & Health Education and Psychology is also having separate labs.
The college Department of Physical Education provides amnesties for sports, gymnastics, table tennis, athletics and other field games. The Daulat Ram College for Commerce was selected as a training venue for Rugby forthe Commonwealth Games, 2010. The college has recently set up a Gymnasium with modern facilities. The Placement cell of the college coordinates with the central placement cell of the university, arranges placement seminars, interactive recruitment sessions and workshops.
