The Executive Fellow Program in Management (EFPM) is a research-based academic qualification for working executives, who have already completed an MBA and seek to further their knowledge of management, venturing into management research, practice, consulting, training, and development. It is usually a part-time programme and can be pursued along with a full-time job. However, students would need to make certain time commitments to the institute, in order to complete their research, present their thesis, and undertake examination.
Admission is based on an interview and selected candidates can take up certain areas of specialization, such as economics, finance, information systems, marketing, operations management, organizational behaviour, personnel management, and strategic management. These are broad-based learning divisions and students would need to undertake a research paper in the area chosen by them. The course usually lasts between 4−6 years, at the end of which students are awarded the title of Fellow in Management.
