Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a study which deals with overhaul, repair, inspection or modification of an aircraft or aircraft component. The maintenance of aircraft is highly regulated, in order to ensure safety of aircraft during the flights. The maintenance tasks, personnel and inspections are all tightly regulated and staff must be licensed for the tasks they carry out and that license is what a degree of AME provide to an aspirant.
