The Doctor of Medicine (MD), is a post- graduate degree for practitioners of medicine which is equivalent to the M.B.B.S. degree. It is the Doctorate degree in the Medicine Field. MD's are physicians who work in hospitals, Clinics, medical centers etc. They treat People for Injuries as well as Illnesses. The durability of the course in 3 years which includes both Theoretical and Practical Exam. The course involves in-depth knowledge of chosen Specialization.The major Specialization include General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Psychiatry, Anesthesiology etc. The eligibility for the postgraduate Medicine course is a candidate shall hold a certification from a university that is acknowledged by the Medical Council of India.
