College for Arts and Sciences
Academic subjects to Arts & Sciences have been categorized into Humanities, Social Sciences & Earth Sciences. Arts subjects are English, any regional vernacular language, History, Economics, Geography, Political Science etc & Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Zoology & Botany are considered as basic courses to Science subjects. English heavily falls into Humanities category where as History, Economics & Political Science fall into the Social Sciences category. More or less, Arts & Science stream are two different academic wings of every College in our country. Graduation & Post Graduation into all these subjects as MA or M.Sc. can be considered as General profession though the need of teachers are in high demand across the country. Completing BA (Hons) or B.Sc (Hons) one can pursue his/her specialization in these subjects either from Government recognized Universities or Dean Universities. Qualifying from any reputed universities in Master’s degree will not barred students to sit for school teachers or College lecturers examination held by Government Recruitment Cell.
Universities like JNU, Jadavpur University, Delhi University, Lovely Professional University (LPU) et al provides excellent academic help to students while pursuing graduation in any stream. Moreover, IIT institutions in India also offer Post graduation, PhD or Post Doc in major science subjects apart from English subject. The job prospects to students of general stream are not limited within specific enterprises like engineering or medical sciences. After completing their graduation one can choose lucrative career opportunities in various government or corporate sectors. Even nowadays Government universities are organizing campus for these students.
