‘MATHEMATICS is a great motivator for all humans.. Because its career starts with "ZERO" but it never end (INFINITY) ....’These lines told by some great scientist are very true. Mathematics is the starting & the end of everything. None of the sciences developed today is complete without mathematics. Mathematics finds its application everywhere be it mechanical, civil, electronics, physics, chemistry, biology & what not. From the making of a simple pin to gigantic ship everything involves mathematics. Anything without mathematics is incomplete. Mathematics further involves specialization in various fields be it geometry, trigonometry, profit-loss etc. or higher level mathematics like calculus (integration, differentiation, error analysis, numeric analysis, optimization techniques… etc. Statistics is another branch of it which generates maximum employment. There are enough opportunities available in the mathematical field. Mathematics graduates are the most preferred in the industry because of their ability o handle tasks very easily. Mathematicians are of course, blessed with high numeric abilities. They are more likely than most to have learned to think clearly and logically, to analyze the situations & using that analytic approach help in company’s progress. They are likely to have used computers related mathematical & numeric analysis in their courses. They will have developed very special skills which they can use in devising solutions to complex problems in the workplace. Generally business, industry and government want people who have a broad background and interest in a variety of mathematical areas, computation and science. Industry, commerce, government departments and teaching represent some of the more obvious ones. Few of these are:
1. Analysts( who examines the needs of employees & share holders)
2. Communication Systems Analyst
3. Logistics Coordinator ( who manages the inflow & outflow of products they receive)
4. Intelligence Analyst
5. Analyst/Senior Analyst - Macro Forecasting and Analysts.
6. Economic Analyst
Some may even love to go in the teaching line: in schools or in universities. colleges where mathematics skills are being developed are:
1. A.V.S. College of Arts & Science, Periyar University Tamil Nadu
2. A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College (Autonomous), Barathidasan University
3. Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University
4. Alagappa Govt. Arts College Alagappa University
