Excitement on Antarctica

Dr Mrs Arundhati Sardesai is a well known educationist and writer and an adventure lover- shared the experiences of her trip to Antarctica and other travels. She is on board of several educational and research institutions and is currently actively engaged in Manavya - a residential care and rehabilitation center of HIV/AIDS affected destitute/orphaned children and women.
She has travelled so much both within and outside India. She has inspired us with her talk followed by discussion. The session longed for one and a half hour.
The session started with introduction of Dr Arundhati by Dr. Uma Garimella, Advisor, and Senior Teacher IIT-H. Dr Arundhati presented a slide show consisting of the pictures taken during her marvelous journey. She says that every Indian woman can do this and explore the nature’s beauty. This is also a way of staying fit. Every Indian women has right of choosing a path of her wish. Women can be adventurous. Will-power, physical strength and finance are the basic requirements for exploring new things. New thinking/ideology can make the difference between a woman and a man. Next summer Dr Arundhati desires to explore Arctica.
Everyone would love to go on this dream journey to Antartica.
