ABES Engineering College takes it upon itself to ensure proper grooming and growth of every student. The aim is to be able to fit into the highly competitve market and succeed. A manager of tommorow needs to have leadership qualities, be able to influence interacting people and impress them and be dynamic and innovative. To help achieve all this, ABES has set up a Center for Career Planning and Development (CCPD). It is a center which works towards building a strong Industry Academia interface.
CCPD works as a link between the corporate world and the students. It takes the feedback from them and makes sure that the teaching standards, curriculum and the facilities used are at par with what is out there in the market. Doing so, it ensures that the students are groomed and study as per the requirement of the market and thus, will be well-suited for the job market. Activities such as group discussions, lectures by specialists, confidence boosting, stress and time management, etc. are organized as well.
All the measures taken to give the the students intense training on how to be managers and leaders makes the students sensitive and compassionate as well. The activities of the CCPD are independent of the regular curriculum but in no way hinder the everyday routine of the school. There is a separate, dedicated staff which takes care of everything related to the CCPD.
