The capital of Maharashtra, the commercial capital of India, the city of dreams; the more you talk about this city the more interesting it becomes. The citizens of Mumbai or Mumbaikars lovingly call their city as ‘Amchi Mumbai’.
With this city being the largest contributor to the nations economic, it also contributes to the nation’s educational sector. Mumbai’s Kalina University is considered amongst the top university in India. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), the premier institute is expectedly present in Mumbai. Three institutes without which the engineering education in Mumbai will be left out are the prestigious Veermata Jijabai Technological University (VJTI), University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT) and SNDT Women’s University. Mumbai is also home to National Institute Of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), S P Jain Institute of Management & Research and several other management schools.
The medical section in Mumbai has Grant Medical College and Seth G.S. Medical College which are affiliated with Sir Jamshedjee Jeejeebhoy Group of Hospitals and KEM Hospital respectively.
